The effect of polygraph evidence on mock jury decision-making.

Markwart, A., & Lynch, B. E. (1979). The effect of polygraph evidence on mock jury decision-making. Journal of Police Science and Administration, 7, 324-332.

Modest effect of polygraph evidence on jury verdicts. Massive evidence of leniency shift in juror verdict preferences during deliberation without any polygraph data, moderate severity shift with unfavorable data, but only weak leniency shift with favorable data. Older jurors (over 23 years old) more likely to concur with polygraph data.
